Step 1: Create An Account
Go to the Create Account page and enter the required information in the form.
Once you have completed the registration process, you will be directed to the web-based Amazon Payments System to pay for your membership. The Amazon Payments System is a highly secure system that lets you pay via credit card.
If you want to order the optional Value-Added Career Consultation Services that allow you to ask career guidance questions directly to Dr. Dan Whitenack, you may add that option to your cart when you purchase your membership. You may also add these consultations at any time after you purchase your membership.
After your payment is processed, you will receive an email from the OccupationProfessor site confirming your membership, and containing the Username and Password you will need to access the system.
Step 2: Take the Online Test
To take the OccupationProfessor assessment test, go to the OccupationProfessor Home Page and log-on. Click the button shown there to begin taking the online assessment.
If you do not have enough time to finish the assessment in one sitting, you may repeat the logon process as many times as needed to complete the assessment. Each time you logon, you will begin the process where you last left off.
Step 3: Find Your Occupational Matches
After you have completed the OccupationProfessor web-based assessment test, go to the OccupationProfessor Home Page and log-on. You may then use the Career Profile pages to search for occupations that provide the best match to your personal profile.
The occupation-matching process can be performed repeatedly, changing the matching parameters until you find the results you think are best. You can save occupations you find interesting to your "Favorite Occupations" list, which you can further sort and download to document your search process.
